Uniform

The Olive School promotes excellence and aspiration in everything our pupils do. The school uniform is designed to reinforce this spirit of excellence. The uniform is smart and practical, encourages pupils to take pride in being part of their school and enables them to act as ambassadors for the school.

High standards of presentation are required at all times when wearing the school uniform. Whenever the school uniform is worn, it must be complete and not mixed with non-uniform clothing. This includes when travelling to and from the school.

Second-hand / Pre-loved Uniform Provision

Many items of uniform have a longer life beyond the point when our pupils have outgrown them and could be re-used by another pupil. As well as saving families money, re-using uniform also reduces our impact on the environment.

To support our scheme, we request that parents/carers donate any unwanted items of uniform, in good condition that could be worn by another pupil.

Please donate items that are: Please do not send any items that are:
  • In good condition
  • Clean
  • Branded items (e.g. cardigans/jumpers)
  • Non-branded items (e.g polo-shirts or shoes)
  • Ripped or torn
  • Stained or marked
  • Dirty/unwashed

If parents/carers have any uniform items in good condition that their children no longer wear, they are encouraged to donate these to school.  Parents can drop off the uniform items at the school office. Items should be donated in a clean and dry condition so that they can be passed straight to another family.

During the last week of each term, we will hold a ‘pre-loved’ uniform sale in school, where families will be able to come and choose any items free of charge.
